Do you like fast cars? Although GT-200 sounds like some new sports car, in fact it's not. The GT-200 is a future GPU from NVIDIA, expected to have no less than 1 billion transistors! This wasn't made public on the 1st of April, and since it comes right from NVIDIA, you gotta believe it, so here it goes...

NVIDIA G92

In a press conference held in Munich yesterday, NVIDIA revealed some secrets about G92's follower. The G92, pictured above, is basically the updated G80 graphics core, with a couple of small changes, and the main "serious" difference being the addition of the "VP2" engine, featuring the "Pure HD" technology.

NVIDIA's Jeff Brown said the GT-200 will have about one billion transistors, but otherwise, there's nothing much he has revealed. In fact, we have no idea when this chip is going to arrive, but I guess we won't see G92's follower before the end of the year. Anyway, you can keep dreaming, if the 9800 GX2 is not enough for you...
