This component refers to the source of electrical power being required by many of the computer components in order to function. What is important o be mentioned about this hardware component is the fact that it needs to include a power distribution type of system and also all sorts of energy. Such examples are the batteries, the solar power and the generators or the alternators.  One type of constraint that this type of components presents is the fact that it can only supply a certain amount of power and that it can only supply it for a certain period of time. This computer hardware component is very important because it powers on many other important component without which the computer could not function.



Usually, the power supply can be found placed in a corner of the computer case. It is also sometimes recognize by the cooling fan and the power cord being included within it. It functions by converting the AC type of input to lower type of DC voltages.
