Launch of Razer Tiamat 7.1 has made a recent addition in gaming headset. No doubt, this gaming headset is one step ahead of its competitors because of its surround sound quality and its manufacturing company claims that this will be the very first 7.1 gaming headset available in the market so far.

Especially designed for hard core gamers, Razer Tiamat 7.1 has surrounded sound system installed in the headphone. Unlike other manufactures, Razer has installed 5 different drivers in each ear cup making overall 10 drivers in complete headphone. In each cup of Razer headphone, drivers are installed at front, rear and side along with sub-woofer. There are 7 surround channels in this headset; two of them are at centre, one each in left and right, surround sound in left and right, surround back in left and right. All the installed driver works in unison in order to produce surround sound for its user. Audio control unit can be used to adjust the volume level along with bass depth. Depending upon your mood, you can switch mode from 7.1 surround to 2.0 stereo. Drivers installed in the ear cup have frequency response of 20Hz to 20,000 Hz. This much of frequency response is enough to deliver pinpoint surround sound that is required by hard core gamers. Razer Tiamat 7.1 gaming headset has been awarded as the world’s first circumaural gaming headset. It means that now gamers can clearly hear in-game sounds. Such kind of headset is required in battle games where players have to be clear about all kind of sounds in the game. Using Tiamat gaming headset, you can listen enemy footsteps too.

It’s hard to find all the features under one headset but true in the case of Tiamat 7.1 surround speakers. Along with 10 distinct drivers installed in the ear cups, it has volume control unit installed on the headset that controls the audio level and using which you can switch between headset and speakers. It has noise filtering one directional mic that can be used to communicate with other players while playing game over network. Along with interchangeable ear cup covers, you will also get an option to replace leather ear cushions. Razer Tiamat fulfils all the needs of the gamers by making this headphone. Razer is not done yet, after the successful launch of Tiamat 7.1 it has launched Tiamat 2.2 headset that has two sub-woofer drivers. This particular headset is for gamers that will provide them three dimensional sound experiences.

Anyone can get impressed by the feature that this gaming headset delivers but unfortunately not everyone can bring this home because of its high price of $180.
