UPS better known as “Uninterrupted Power Supply” is an important device for your computer system as it protects your system from power fluctuation. While attempting plugging and unplugging several times, make sure that you have Turned ON your UPS. Even if your window is not showing any new device use another USB port of your computer system.

2. Make sure that USB cable that connects UPS to your computer system has been properly attached at both ends. IF it is loose, UPS software at your computer will not be able to detect device and software installation of UPS will not take place.
3. If you see Battery Lights flashing on your UPS try to reduce load on your UPS. If you see instant Battery Light flashing event after having constant load over UPS it means that your UPS is about to fail. In such scenarios try to run a load test at your UPS software to check your UPS battery strength.
4. If you heard constant solid beep sound on your UPS, try to remove extra equipments from your UPS. Constant solid beep sound indicates that your UPS is overloaded.
5. Check that your equipment is attached to an outlet that actually provides battery backup. Otherwise as soon as power goes off, your system will turn off automatically turning your modified data unsaved.
All the above mentioned steps can be followed at home very easily and if your UPS is not working then try to contact customer care or the shop from which you bought it.
