In February 2008, NVIDIA announced that they will buy the Ageia technologies. This last company is or better said was at that time the world’s leader in gaming physics. I guess that now you see why the giant in the visual computing technologies world aquired this other leader. The Ageia’s world famous software is PhysX software. The standards created by this company in the gaming industry have been adopted by many game platforms, some of them being created for devices like: the Sony PlayStation 3 device, Nintendo Wii and Microsoft’s XBOX 360.

So, what do the Ageia PhysX video cards bring in front of the eyes of an user, compared to the rest of the video cards, created by NVIDIA and not only by this company?
