A lot of information about these extraordinary devices. Here you will manage to find out many interesting things about computers in general and also about their hardware which is very important.

Being so popular, these devices are nowadays bought in large numbers from numerous places. The stores who sell them in every city are many and people purchase them in order to improve their lives and their working experience.

The Internet is also a preferred place from where countless people purchase different things including computers of all kind because as we know, on the market are 3 types of computers: desktops, laptops and mini notebooks and all of them are being bought daily all over the world in large numbers from the most popular manufacturers.

All in all, computers are essential devices in our lives and having performant ones is a must for many. A thing at what numerous buyers look at with attention is the memory storage. The memory storage of every computer is very important because it shows how much information and applications can be stored on the device. The bigger the amount of memory storage is, the better. It is measured in Giga Bytes (GB). Nowadays, most computers have an average memory storage of 200GB.
Having 200GB means that you can store numerous things that you want like movies, songs, documents, pictures, applications and others. The internal components that offers the computer a certain memory storage is the hard drive. It is a small chip that is inserted in a certain slot. A lot more information about the computer data storage devices can be found on various sites.
One device that is getting more and more popular among many computer users is the external hard drive. It is the best from all computer data storage devices because besides the large amount of memory that is has, it also offers the possibility of caring around in your pocket. Imagine all of your personal information, documents, movies and other things in a small device that can even fit into your pocket. The external HDD was especially made for those people who have to travel along with their information and insert it in other computers from the places they go.
So, the external HDD is the best from all computer data storage devices because the advantages it offers are countless and highly important and it can be carried everywhere by its user.

In what follows I am going to give you some information about the various computer storage devices. The storage devices belong to the IT domain which means that just as the other components have evolved, so did the storage devices. The main task and quality of a computer storage device is the fact that they are capable of storing computer data such as pictures, music, games, movies, programs, and so on.
One of the best and most common types of storage devices is the hard drive. The hard drive is a fixed and internal media storage device which until a few years ago lacked portability. When you buy a custom made computer you get to decide what type of hard drive you want in your computer because there are various types of hard drives, each with its own pros and cons. The hard drive can vary depending on the number of data storage space it has, on the speed, on the rotations and so on. The hard drives have some negative points, mainly the fact that they are very fragile. They are made out of numerous components and because of that in case of a physical shock they can lost precious data.

A newer type of hard drive is the Solid State Drive. The Solid State Drive is made out of a single component which means that they are much more resistant to shocks. The Solid State Drives have also the advantage that they use less power than the regular hard drives. The hard drives vary a lot when it comes to the data storage size. The data storage size is increasing each year. There are some hard drives nowadays which are capable of storing up to 2TB of data, which is a lot since the earlier ones were able to store 8GB or data or so.
The optical discs such as CDs or DVDs are also a very popular data storage device, the Blu-ray becoming a fan-favorite as well. The CDs are capable of storing about 800MB of data whereas the DVD is capable of storing 4.5GB and the Blu-ray can store up to 25GB of data. Most of the computers with a few exceptions have an optical drive installed on them.

Another popular method and device of storing data is the USB flash drive. The USB flash drive can be connected to the Universal Serial Bus Port in order to transfer data. Some of the USB flash drives are able to store up to 30GB of data or even more. These are just some of the types of computer storage devices. Since the internet offers more and more features when it comes to downloading media files, no one can tell if they will still be used in 10 years or so.

The hardware can also contain the components located inside the computer. The motherboard belongs to the hardware category because it is a component of the computer and because it can be touched. The processor, the RAM, the hard drive, the graphic cards, all belong to the hardware category.
The processor is also considered to be the brain of the computer because it is responsible for all the computing on a computer. The processor will make the connection with all the other components through the motherboard which is also called the main board. The motherboard is the component on which all the other components are connected. The memory of the computer is connected on the motherboard as well. The memory of the computer will also make the PC run much faster. The more memory the computer has the better it will run. The graphics card will create a much better image for the computer, and thanks to it you will be able to play certain games and so on. There are two types of graphics cards: integrated and dedicated, the dedicated one being much better because it has a memory of its own. The hard drive is the component on which all the computer data is located, such as multimedia files, certain software programs, the operating system, and so on.

Even the optical discs are considered hardware. If you buy a game, the disc on which the game is located it is hardware whereas the game itself, the application which you install on the computer is a software program because you can not touch it. In close relation with the optical discs are the optical drives such as the CD-ROMs, and the DVD-ROMs. It seems that the external storage devices are becoming more and more popular in the recent years.

The USB Flash drives, and the Solid State Disks and Drives are more and more popular because they have much more benefits than the optical drives. The USB Flash Drives can store large amounts of data, even more than some internal hard drives can and that is a great advantage. The USB Flash drives can be written more than once and as a result they are better than the optical discs as well. This was my information on the computer hardware.

In this article I am going to give you some information about the computer hardware. In my opinion it is essential to know what you have in your computer in order to be able to understand how it works. You will not be able to repair the components in case that they break but at least you will be able to take care of them and use them with ease. The PC has various components, and each of them is essential for the computer. The computer hardware represents the physical parts of the computer, which are the ones that you can touch. On the other hand the software of the computer represents the programs which are installed on the PC.
I will start with the motherboard, and this is the component on which almost all the other components from the computer. The motherboard is a large rectangular board which has various integrated circuits on it. Thanks to these circuits, the other components can be attached to the motherboard. One of the most important components which connect to the motherboard is the processor, or the central processing unit, CPU whatever you would like to call it.

The processor is responsible for performing most of the computations which are required in order for the computer to be able to function properly. Because of this aspect, many people refer to the processor as the brain of the computer. The chip set is the component which gives the processor the possibility of connecting to all the other components.
The memory of the computer is very important as well. The memory of the computer connects to the motherboard, just like the processor. It has a special socket on the main board on which the memory can be inserted. The RAM stores all the running processes and the operating system while the computer is turned on, but which loses all the data as soon as the computer is resented. There are many types of memory and I should tell you that the more memory a computer has the better it will work.

The hard drive is another useful component of the computer. It is somewhat similar to the RAM, meaning that it also stores the data, only a different kind. The hard drive is non-volatile which means that the information remains on it permanently until it is deleted by the user. Like I said, in the case of the RAM, the data will be deleted when the computer is shut down. The size of the hard drive dictates the amount of information the computer is able to accumulate. The hard drive contains all the information including the software programs. There are numerous types of hard drives, such as hard disks, solid state drives, each with their own pros and cons.
Notebook Video Cards
Published by adimoga, on June 16th, 2010, in the categories: Video Cards
In the case of the notebook video cards, each GPU will provide a different performance, as they range in speed. This means that the same model of video card will run different on two different notebooks, which as I said, can create lots of confusion. You should also take in consideration the bus speeds, the memory size, which can be extremely irritating.
In the case of the desktop computers, the users are interested in purchasing the video cards which can offer the best performance, they want to get the most out of their video cards. In the case of the notebook computers, the situation is different, as the users will try to purchase a notebook video card which can run their favorite game and so on, meaning that they are interested in a video card which can run a certain program or task.

As you might have known, there are different ways of categorizing the video cards. One of the ways is to view them as integrated and dedicated. The integrated video cards are the ones which are included or contained in the motherboard. Because of that the video card will not have its own memory and it will have to use the memory from the RAM. As you can imagine, this results in poor performance because the memory has to be split between the RAM and the Graphical Processing Unit.

The benefit of using an integrated video card is the fact that they use less energy than the dedicated ones, and as a result the autonomy of the computer is increased. If you do not like playing video games, and if you are interested in the more basic tasks, then an integrated video card might be the choice for you.o card is the one which connects to the motherboard, and which has a memory of its own. Thanks to this, the dedicated video card is capable of providing a better performance, but it will use more power which will result in a lesser autonomy for the notebook computer.
